It is interesting that Georgian law, in addition to property damage, also provides for compensation of moral damage;
Moral damage is usually expressed in the victim’s mental suffering, which they experienced as a result of the unlawful act of the perpetrator;
However, it is noteworthy that the Civil Code provides for compensation of moral damage only in two cases:
The damage is caused by the dissemination of information violating a person’s dignity, business reputation, or the secrecy of private life;
The damage is caused as a result of harm to a person’s health.
The existence of moral damage, as well as the determination of its amount (which must be expressed in monetary form), obviously requires appropriate proof; in such cases, the best solution is to consult a qualified lawyer.
